Backup your Game Server!

With Straya.gg we provide the option of backing up your game server to a remote location in the cloud. By doing this, no matter what happens - Even if our Datacentre gets hit by an asteroid you'll have a safe backup at another global location to restore from!

How do I start a backup?

1. Log into our control panel with your account and click manage on the server you want to backup.
2. Go to the "Management" tab and click on "Data Vault".
3. Click the "Create New" button to start a new backup.

As shown below, starting a backup will first stop your server. In future updates this will not be necessary, and you'll be able to back up your files while the server is still running.

How do I restore a backup?

On the Data Vault page under the Management tab, next to any backups you have saved you'll see some buttons:

1. Delete - Delete's the backup, freeing up space for you to take more backups.
2. Deploy - Stops your server if it's running, then reinstalls the server with data from the old backup. Make sure you aren't going to lose any changes! Any changes you've made since the backup was taken, will be lost.
